That's a shame. It was quite good.

First time he's ever attempted something like "Mr. Kite" is on his current tour.

There's a reason for that: the original on Sgt. Pepper is "electronic music." Playing live with a 5-piece band, and having it sound GREAT, certainly utilizes most of the goodies I frequently hear complaints about from the "Music Approved By Jann Wenner" crowd.

We got some new instruments out there, folkies. Just like all the old ones, there's plenty of people who can't play 'em, but the people who can are just wonderful... and they're not all knights.

I watched the whole episode, I guess about 10 minutes before they pulled it down...

"Begrimed" was a setup for a brilliant bit Colbert did later on.
