Eisenhower warned about this in 1961

The NSA is contracted out in large part to the private sector. The real outrage should be the corporate profit motive now imbedded at the most sensitive levels of what is suppose to be our government. We pay more, get far less, and lose our privacy. That corporate profit motive sets in motion an interdependency for the potential of "manufactured" terror and more wars...it's good for business ya know .

I've long believed that "Ike" was the last rethug,of national stature,who genuinely held real concern for the country and regular people...Shame.
