Snowden is a Traitor.

He played it as if he was some sort of whistleblower to get out of the country. He took info with him and plan to use it to get protection and monetary gain.

He is NO HERO. He is NO Whistleblower.

He is a Traitor.

End of message.

"Direct Access"..what?
Verb, subject and object, might communicate your meaning.

I don't know why you're sure that Snowden is incompetent, or lying.
If you have time, and hant already seen it, check this out:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2013/06/16/snowden-whistleblower-nsa-officials-roundtable/2428809/

The three NSA guys , in the interview, seem quite credible. Though not in full agreement with Snowdens tactics, they dont question the veracity of Snowden's assertions.

As we are probably both avid consumers of news, I wonder what you have learned, that I havnt learned , that makes you so sure that Snowden is incompetent or lying.

He got a lot right. He brought the issue to the forefront. Shone light on the issue.
As to whether he was right about "Google and all those" , I'll wait and see what new developments come to light.
I guess I'm as skeptical about the assurances from Bureaucrats and businessmen in suits, as you are about Mr Snowden.

Jun 2013

the wise poster is as skeptical of the gov't as he/she is of those who make declarations that they choose not to prove (or are unable to prove).

In Snowden's case, it seems that such cautions should be thrown to the wind - and anything he says, proven or not, should be accepted at face value, and never questioned.

Or a young man who saw some shit at work that he knew was unconstitutional?

If he really is a champion of civil liberties as he claims, then where was he as GOP-controlled states tried to make it harder to vote? Why has he not joined the fight for granting basic rights to gay people and preserving the right to choose? Those should be questions directed towards all Americans who consider themselves libertarians. These people only seem to make noise about supposed liberties when it is most politically-convienent to do so, like with this and with the gun debate.
