http://www.businessinsider.com/bobby-jindal-has-lost-touch-with-reality-2013-6Today, Jindal has a column if you can call it that in Politico, urging conservatives to reject calls for reform. He explains that if conservatives just stay where they are, voters will eventually come running back to them. Here's his reasoning:
At some point, the American public is going to revolt against the nanny state and the leftward march of this president. I dont know when the tipping point will come, but I believe it will come soon.
Why?
Because the left wants: The government to explode; to pay everyone; to hire everyone; they believe that money grows on trees; the earth is flat; the industrial age, factory-style government is a cool new thing; debts dont have to be repaid; people of faith are ignorant and uneducated; unborn babies dont matter; pornography is fine; traditional marriage is discriminatory; 32 oz. sodas are evil; red meat should be rationed; rich people are evil unless they are from Hollywood or are liberal Democrats; the Israelis are unreasonable; trans-fat must be stopped; kids trapped in failing schools should be patient; wild weather is a new thing; moral standards are passé; government run health care is high quality; the IRS should violate our constitutional rights; reporters should be spied on; Benghazi was handled well; the Second Amendment is outdated; and the First one has some problems too.
I'll grant Jindal one thing: He certainly didn't ration the red meat in that paragraph.

(1,799 posts)Stick with it and we'll have Democratic majorities in Congress and Democrats in the White House for decades to come!
And let's be honest, most Republicans are touch and go with reality at best.

(10,175 posts)Mr Jindal lives on blood.
Unfortunately he's managed to drain us in Lousiana just about dry.
So he's really not getting alot of norishment here.
He has his eye set on the presidency though, so who knows...

Took the name "Bobby" from the Brady Bunch.
He'd make a great vampire, or maybe Thuggee high priest.

Not a firm grip on reality.
Running around destroying everything he touches. We had an awesome college system before he showed up. Not to mention, medical programs for the poor, you know stuff.
Unfortunately New Orleans, votes democrat, whereas the rest of the state...
Which truly sucks. If New Orleans could leave Lousiana and become a district like D.C. Lousiana would go bankrupt in a month.
They pillage our wealth and channel it to their good old boys network.

(42,757 posts)Maybe if Jindal had BFEE behind him like Rubio does he'd sleep better at night.

(4,713 posts)went out the window & he has decided to go double or nothing? It should tell them something if my 15 year listens to their platform & calls them a bunch of morons.
All I can tell them is keep screaming your beliefs to everyone that will listen so we can watch you go down in flames.

(65,616 posts)Government to explode = see Tea Party.
pay everyone/hire everyone = well someone has to be the job 'creators' we don't see private industry doing it.
money grows on trees = see pork barrel spending 101.
earth is flat = unintended irony.
industrial age = whereas Repukes want to bring back the Stone Age
factory-style government = see TARP laws and Irony 101.
debt don't have to be repaid = just ask Congress
people of faith are ignorant and uneducated = nice blanket statement but false
unborn babies don't matter = see irony 101 and babies just born don't matter
pornography is fine = only when it is on republican computers
traditional marriage is discriminatory = marriage is discriminatory = that makes no sense.
32 oz of soda is evil = see Bloomberg is a REPUBLICAN
red meat should be rationed = unless you are a 1% percent-er
I could go on...

The GOP learned their lesson about nominating an annoying, out of touch "rich guy" cartoon character,
so they were seriously considering going with Gilligan for 2016:
Now Gilligan is becoming unhinged.
Who's their fall-back choice - the Skipper ? Lovey ? Mary Ann ?

(103,856 posts)He really really really really thinks his "turn" is coming up.. Republicans will let him be governor of a small petroleum-soaked, hurricane-magnet, but that's as far as it goes, no matter how firmly affixed his lips are to the asses of the GOP powers-that-be.
He can grovel & shape-shift all he wants to, but he's just a prop to the GOP..just one of the few brown faces in the crowd.

(366 posts)he picked "Bobby" because he liked Bobby Brady on "The Brady Bunch".
Piyush was not a popular name in Louisiana in the 70's.
