Gov. Paul LePage of Maine says Dem State Senator "giving it to the people of Maine without Vaseline"

Last edited Thu Jun 20, 2013, 06:00 PM - Edit history (1)

He is foul mouthed and horrid, but today's outburst from Governor Paul LePage of Maine takes the cake.

LePage is going to veto a bipartisan budget and possibly throw the state into shutdown because he wants to gut local funding which will skyrocket property taxes. The bipartisan compromise out of the legislature restores many of the cuts to local towns and cities, though still keeps some of it, and also increases revenue with very small and temporary increases in the meals and lodging tax and the sales tax.

This morning, the guv rallied with some "Americans For Prosperity" people (IOW corporate toadies), and in the Democrats' response State Sen. Troy Jackson said LePage, who had accused Dems of failing to meet with him, said he was flat wrong and delusional to say that.

In response to reporters, LePage said that Jackson had "no brain" and a "black heart" and "needs to go back to the Maine woods and let someone come to Augusta who has a brain" and that "he has been giving it to the people without Vaseline." When asked by a reporter if what he just said would be offensive to some people, LePage responded, "Good. It ought to, because I have been taking it for two years."

See bangordailynews.com for the whole story.

This guy is a rotten foul mouthed bully. Hope we can get rid of him in 2014.

Kennebunkport. Among those hosting this event for the great governor, are Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe.

That goes to Jebby's judgment---Collins, too (you'd think she'd be a bit more sensitive to rape commentary)....if the vaseline wasn't enough, the comparing the IRS to the Gestapo is a cake taker.

8. Just ONE example of what we get when we don't VOTE. 2010 was HORRID. In 2014, we need to VOTE !

I know many Dems did vote, but not nearly enough. Sorry, but it was awful. This guy won by about 10,000 votes in a three way split, meaning about 38% of the vote and only 2% ahead of the #2 guy, a moderate indy. We don't have a runoff provision here, so this nutjob won. It has just been horrid. Hopefully we can get rid of him in 2014.

"Paul LePage is a classless bully who is unfit to hold public office of any kind," Maine Democratic Party Chairman Ben Grant said in a statement. "This is the chief executive officer of our State, the highest elected official, the public face of Maine, and he’s making comments that any 14 year-old would know are out of line."

We wouldn't have any budget problems if he hadn't rammed through his tax cuts for the rich in '11. All we really need to do is undo that damage and the so-called budget problems will disappear.

It was a manufactured problem. We need to get rid of this foul-mouthed, foul-minded jerk-off. I expect we will next year. Hopefully with a huge backlash.

AUGUSTA, Maine — Gov. Paul LePage on Thursday said a Democratic lawmaker, Sen. Troy Jackson of Aroostook County, “claims to be for the people but he’s the first one to give it to the people without providing Vaseline.”

LePage also said that Jackson has a “black heart” and that he should go back in the woods and cut trees “and let someone with a brain come down here and do some good work.”

Jackson responded by saying that though he’s often at odds with the governor, the chief executive’s bluster doesn’t bother him.

“I don’t think I have a black heart; most people know I have a good heart,” Jackson said Thursday afternoon. “I don’t have any problem with anyone saying anything about what I stand for. He can say whatever he wants; I just think it’s inappropriate the way he said it. We can be disagreeable without making nasty comments like that.”

The governor did a great job of slamming the people of Aroostook County, too.....the classless little shitstain.

12. Stumbling into Don Young territory . . . .

At a high school assembly in 2004 (sic - it was in 1995) Young was answering questions about cutting federal funding for the arts. He said that such funding had "photographs of people doing offensive things," and "things that are absolutely ridiculous." When asked for an example, Young quickly replied "buttfucking", in reference to Robert Mapplethorpe's photographic exhibition The Perfect Moment.[23][24]

Yes, at a high school assembly!
