With the expected demographic changes in the US

the nation will become much more Catholic. (The hispanic world is predominently Catholic.)

I've been thinking of the Catholic population in the US as in relative decline since the 1960s but it has probably been growing steadily the last 20 years and will continue to do so.

That hadn't occured to me before. Just slow, I guess.

I have a lot of respect for the Catholic church, in relative terms. I don't like religions in general but have no special antipathy for the Catholic church. So not a knock, just an observation.
