Former NSA Analyst: Obama Was Wiretapped in 2004

There is no fucking excuse for this. NONE!!!

Former National Security Agency analyst Russell Tice says Barack Obama - at the time a candidate for U.S. Senate - was targeted by domestic surveillance operations run by the NSA in 2004.

Tice, who is said to have contributed to a 2005 New York Times story revealing details about domestic surveillance practices, recently spoke to the "Boiling Frogs Post," an online news site run by Sibel Edmonds. Edmonds is a former FBI translator, and was herself part of a 2005 media feature about whistle blowing, this one composed by Vanity Fair.

Appearing on Edmonds' show, Tice strongly hinted at the notion that he was asked to tap several phone lines used frequently by then-candidate Obama.

I'd consider it at least one possible motivation behind Senator Obama's FISA flip-flop in 2008. Pholus Jun 2013 #6

And tells him what he can and cannot do...cause they got shit on him.
After all that is the whole purpose of spying...to get dirt on people.

I'd imagine that a compelling argument as to what surveillance could accomplish, with a sample drawn from your own private communications, can be very persuasive...

The "us." Probably means people like 2004 Barack Obama. There was a story about Bill Clinton's emails being read. Most of "us" are of no interest - it is people like this who are the ones most likely to be "spied on" and they probably know it. The ordinary people that might be over-spied on would most likely be Muslims.

Which goes to show how ineffective it was anyway. Barack Obama was elected President of the United States 4 years later. How did it stop him?
