Richard Bong State Recreation Area

Richard Bong State Recreation Area is eight miles southeast of Burlington, WI on State Highway 142. The entrance is a little less than one mile west of State Highway 75. The latitude is 42° 38' 6.8" north and longitude 88° 7' 36.5" west. It is about 47 miles from Milwaukee, 71 miles from Chicago and 362 miles from Minneapolis.

Fees

* Vehicle admission sticker is required.
* State trail pass is required for off-road bikers, horseback riders and off-highway motorcyclists 16 years of age and older.
* Hunting and fishing licenses apply.
* All-terrain Vehicles need to be registered (ATVs not dirt bikes) before arriving at the property.

A little bit of trouble there now, though:

Please be aware that Wolf Lake water levels are very low due to failure of the water control structure. The water levels have dropped below the regular swimming area, and swimming is not advised. Do to extremely low water, boating options are very limited. Repairs are planned but are unlikely to be completed in 2013. Please contact Park staff for information on local area swimming, fishing and boating alternatives.

Ash trees infested with emerald ash borer are being removed from this property. Ash trees are prone to dropping their branches once they are in decline, so the trees could become a safety concern. Because ash was a dominant tree in the campgrounds, campers will notice campsites are more open. Please buy your firewood at or near the recreation area to help prevent the spreading of emerald ash borer and other tree pests or diseases when camping or returning home.

Quick, go see if before Walker sells it to his buddy Koch for a few bucks. Or else toss the Wanker out, whichever one works best.

But you need to think what a mistake that would be. I can't think of a more thankless job than being stuck for decades on the USSC.

On second thought, Obama's been working at a totally thankless job for over four years, working hard to help everyone.

Nah, I can't see him sticking around. He deserves a lot better than this crappy job.

... because the amount of security it would take to protect Obama would disrupt the daily workings of the Senate.

IF and that is a big IF, if President Obama ends up in a government position after he leaves office in January 2017 then the only logical place for him would be the U.S. Supreme Court.

Guess they don't read the Constitution. There is that pesky 22nd Amendment. But I don't think they can read past the 2nd Amendment. And I chanced upon the, or one of the, sources of birtherism. One of the Freepers claimed Obama told him he was born in Kenya in a youtube video:

Marine: 1980 In Hi. Obama Told Me He Was Born In Kenya And Wanted To Be President.

By 68Truthseeker

Published on Jun 2, 2012

Jim "Race Bannon" Bancroft- Obama in 1980 said he was born in Mombasa, Kenya - The stunning admission was made to a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, in a chance meeting in the vicinity of Kalakaua Blvd., one evening in early August of 1980.

The now, former Marine is a highly respected member of the Free-Republic online-community, and he has published the account of his personal meeting with the then Barry Soetero online at the Gathering of the Eagles Blog. After the divorce of Barry's mother from his adopted father, Lolo Soetero, he began using the name "Barack Hussein Obama," by which he is knows the world over, today. At the Free Republic, the ex-Marine goes by the name Race Bannon.

The crucial part of his testimony regards what he writes in his essay, "Another crappy day in paradise, or The things you see when you ain't got a gun." Speaking of his encounter with Soetero, Bannon writes:

He also told me something that I never forgot, for it caused me to do some other things in an effort to be nice to him and possibly a favor. We spoke of where I had been and the world as I saw it. I told him I had been to Africa , Mombassa specifically, and he said to me abruptly, "I was born there." I told him he is not eligible to be president if that was true, but I remembered he said his mom was an American, so, maybe it was okay. But it was what I did after that makes this a true memory: I went back to the barracks and told others of this guy and suggested we all grab our photo albums and visit him again and show him pictures of Mombassa so he could see where he was from...

Yup, Truthseeker. Wonder how many Freepers post at DU. He backtracked a little bit and it was pretty interesting:

In the light of what is called "The Birther" movement, these memories are still foremost in my mind concerning this. While I cannot swear it was Barak Obama, all the details I do remember of that chance encounter fit the profile of the man who some people claim is born in Kenya and others claim he was born in Hawaii . The man I met was about 18, thin, Mulatto, told me he was born in Mombassa, raised overseas, was living in Hawaii and hadn't yet been to many places in the world outside of those places, mostly, hadn't been to the mainland of America for any long time period if at all. And he openly told me he wanted to be President...

Oh, and all the comments on the video page are simply awesome!

And I'm not sure impeachment is in order, since he's only done what ANY executive would do when given power unchecked by checks and balances. What needs to happen is Congress has to stop sitting on their collective asses, and conduct proper oversight. They need to lift the veil of secrecy so they and the public knows whats going on. And specific laws should be written for courts to follow, since they merely rubber-stamp any act by executive branch.
