"the same diseased root"

Scalia:

“We have no power to decide this case. And even if we did, we have no power under the Constitution to invalidate this democratically adopted legislation. The Court’s errors on both points spring forth from the same diseased root: an exalted conception of the role of this institution in America.”

I've got a diseased root for you pal.....

with his own ridiculously biased and inaccurate reading of the bible. He simply can't comprehend a nation of laws that doesn't answer to a pope or a book written by Bronze Age nomads.

He is unfit. I wish there was a way to remove him.

Scalia has a nasty habit of trying to sound poetic and insulting whenever he's losing an argument and doesn't have any legal backup. In essence, this little diatribe means little more than the majority pissed in his Wheaties and he wants to throw a temper tantrum.
