Texas GOP attempts to roll back time -- and commits fraud.

Shout out to white cloud and others for hitting this earlier (http://www.demu.gr/10789974), but it bears repeating:

1:43 a.m. BY ROSS RAMSEY

A different look at the changing vote records. We took these screenshots from the Legislature's own website. The first one shows the last actions on SB 5 taking place after midnight:

And the second, taken 9 minutes later, shows the dates changed to 6/25:

Gratefully, this approach failed.

It still isn't clear to me. I've been trying to follow this since last night. It looks to me like the Repukes attempted to ram it through and then had to back date the vote. I'm going to guess that this will eventually become a court case and that the vote will not stand but that certainly isn't clear. My guess is that there are enough repukes in the TX system to attempt to legitimize this, no?

by having a vote to pass it -- problem is the vote happened after midnight (which was when the session officially ended) invalidating their "yea" vote. They can bring it up again next session if they want and make another attempt to get it passed.
