FROM THE COMMENTS:
I considered buying these shoes since any shoe that can take on the giant state of TX seem awesome to me...then another reviewer made this comment, which I felt deserved attention: >>I actually went to a store to buy these, but liked the Asics better. Then found out "Mizuno running shoe President Robert Puccini has donated at least twice to the Republican National Committee and voted for Mitt Romney in 2012. So instead of buying the shoes, give the money to Wendy Davis's campaign or your local Planned Parenthood organization." Thanks so much to my friend Suzanne S. for posting this info on FB.<< Thank you to whomever vetted this information. And, of course, thank you Senator Davis for filling such big shoes!

I need new sneakers anyway and was considering this brand even though they are a bit pricey for me. But I think us ladies should consider getting pink sneakers (any brand) as a symbol of "don't f*ck with my rights!"
