Jonathan Orser of Mahopac, NY was found dead of a shotgun wound to the chest, surrounded by rifles and shotguns. Police said they found “over 100 firearms, rifles and shotguns, 15,000 to 20,000 rounds of ammunition, buckets of black (gun) powder, hand grenades” and other military ordnance.

I doubt he committed suicide with a shotgun, it doesn't handle as well a hangun, the usual supect.

A shotgun makes a good suicide weapon, though. It's one that is not infrequently used by people who are very serious about making sure they die.

However, I don't know this individual at all, and there's not all that much information at the link, so I'm just speculating.

He only intended to gun down his neighbors, blow them up with explosives or run them down with his tank. Maybe all three.

Perfect example of the 'I Am An Island' mentality. It was all about his survival, not about trying to make the world a better place for all of us. He had decided he had enemies, for sure.

A search of his information sources most likely would show Beck, Rush, and Infowars. Would the saying, 'He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword,' apply if upgraded to say 'the gun'?
