They need to handle it. I might consider supporting US involvement as an equal partner in a UN intervention, but it would have to be exactly equal. There are 193 member states of the UN. If they voted to send in 19,300 UN peace keepers then each member state would need to provide 100 soldiers. Right now I'm 95% opposed to intervention, but anything beyond a 1/193rd share in either human or financial contribution by the US and I would definitely be opposed.
