Given that so many of the Repugs can't seem to keep their pants zipped, that's a thought he shouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.

I think it would be fascinating to understand, precisely, why he wants this.

It's not the money, that's for sure.

I think it goes beyond the power inherent in being "leader of the free world," too.

What are the real stakes for Romney? Because this little dance he's doing to position himself for it goes against every fiber of his being. He will never be anything more than the archetypal "one percenter." That's ALL he brings to the table. He was born into wealth and power, he's sustained it, and he's passed it on to his kids in the form of that $100 million trust fund.
