Report: Pro Santorum Super PAC Helps Close Gap With Romney

Report: Pro Santorum Super PAC Helps Close Gap With Romney

A Super PAC supporting Rick Santorum is set to drop $650,000 on Michigan advertising, according to NBC News. That's crucial for Santorum, who as of yesterday was set to be outspent 29 to 1 by Mitt Romney and a Super PAC supporting his candidacy.

The buy by the Red, White and Blue Fund easily outpaces the meager $42,443 Santorum has committed to TV advertising in the state this week. Romney has $1.23 million slated for TV ads, according to a Democratic source, while Super PAC Restore our future has $597,365 for TV and another $99,096 for ratio.

While Santorum still is outspent if the current numbers hold, there's a world of difference between a 3:1 ratio and a 29:1 ratio.
