suggested for us back in the '60s. Kind of reminds me of my dad, he never, ever forgot a joke, but he could never remember how many times he'd told it.

And, as usual, he wasn't funny.

It IS a joke, and your teacher acted responsibly for letting you know it was a joke and then filling you up with facts you could use.

I had a teacher who did the same thing. The information that followed was good, too.

he essentially opened the class with it. "Please turn to the chapter in your books on human reproduction. Ok, the state says I have to tell you about birth control. So...the best method of birth control is aspirin...held firmly between the girl's knees. That is all I am going to say."

After about a minute of stunned silence, he changed his tune..."Ok, the book has some good info and some that is a little dated. Let's take a look at each method of contraception. We'll talk good and bad...and what your friends say will work...and then why you should not trust any of that crap your friends say..."

or the fact that he said "the girls". Oh how I hate old guys, or really any guys, referring to women as girls.

Ya know, I like a little girl in my women *wink *wink <---- heard that a few months ago in my living room. That person is no longer allowed in my house.

That's right up there with that stupid teddy bear crap they were selling for Valentine Day. The one that sold the BIG bear because size matters.

Something about that commercial made me gag.

Both the comment and the ad. The entire concept was demeaning while also supposedly sexy. I have no care for what couples do together, if they want to play those games then they should go for it. It is the entire feeling of being childish and patted on the head when called a girl that should not be perpetuated in society. We have to let them know how angry that makes us and how it demeans us as grown up women. Otherwise this crap will continue on.

I wouldn't call a 40 or 50 year old woman a girl, although it's been done to older, like the Golden Girls.

I'm sure our peerless media types will all have a good chuckle over this, and claim that anyone who doesn't see the humor in it is some godless heathen trying to stifle people's freedom of religion.
