Planned Parenthood Issues Statement On Lack Of Women At Contraception Hearing

Planned Parenthood Issues Statement On Lack Of Women At Contraception Hearing

Planned Parenthood's President Cecile Richards gave the following statement on the fact that no women were allowed to testify in favor of the administration's rule on coverage of contraception at a House Oversight Committee hearing on the rule and religious liberty:

“In the latest example how out of touch House Republican leaders are on women’s health, Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) is holding a congressional hearing to oppose insurance coverage for contraception, yet not allowing a single woman to testify in support of the benefit. In fact, Congressman Issa rejected the opportunity to allow a woman attending Georgetown University’s law school to testify about the positive impact the birth control benefit would have on women.

“Where are the women? How can Congress hold a hearing about birth control and not let any women speak?

“Birth control is basic health care and used almost universally by women in America. As a trusted health care provider to one in five women in America, Planned Parenthood believes that women, regardless of where they work, should have access to health insurance that covers preventive health care, including birth control, with no co-pays.”

They have the willing assistance of the Christian Taliban and their non-Burka wearing female supporters...the Papists are leading the charge in this, and they will still expect taxpayer dollars for their affiliated businesses...like hospitals and colleges.

Why don't moderate Christians hit the church where it will hurt the most...the collection plate, once the money stops coming in...the men standing behind the altars and pulpits might get a clue. Besides, that money can be given directly to those groups that need it without a middle-man!

...But, there it is. They obviously are. Not a single woman? Not one? Fuck me, in a sensible world, there should be nobody but women speaking.

With the exception of Snowe and Collins, the other Republican women are more then happy to throw you under a bus! The Papists, the Christian Taliban, and those women who so want to wear a Burka, are a real threat to this country and the advances that have been made over the last 100 years.

I wouldn't count Republican women, because it appears that they are following the commands of their male masters...and wouldn't help you if you were fire!

whose relevance has long since past. They have TOTALLY lost it and, it seems to me, are in a total self-destruct mode for whatever reason.

An all-out war against women seems to be the chosen method in their self-destruction. Do they seriously believe this war does anything but show clearly what they REALLY are, delusional, woman-hating assholes?

an all-female panel of women testifying on something that primarily affected men?
Even something benign like men's college football. Or how about whether hair transplants should be legal? Should male babies be circumcised?

Can you imagine a bunch of women testifying before congress, with zero men allowed to speak, acting authoritative about any of those subjects, without a single male's input? Didn't think so!
