the only convicted criminal serving in Congress will be his and the Republican Party's undoing. They are really taking the continuing political support of women for granted, even Republican women.

Deep, deep down they believe women should be barefoot, pregnant and chained to the kitchen sink. Under some man's complete control from cradle to grave. Just ask Foster Friess, he's bound to agree.

at religious institutions. None are medical doctors. And of course none are female.

Here are their names:

Most Reverend William Lori- a Roman Catholic Bishop
the Reverend Dr. Matthew Harrison- President of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod
C. Benn Mitchell- moral philosophy professor at Union University, a private, evangelical Christian, liberal arts university
Rabbi Meir Soloveichik- American Orthodox rabbi and writer
Craig Mitchell- ethics professor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

I know the LCMS is conservative (grew up LCMS), but last I heard they were not opposed to birth control. I guess the frakking fundies have infiltrated there, too.

precious things, not easily obtained, often as not, but easily taken away if they don't stand up and scream bloody murder. And that IS what they need to do, unless they want to contribute by their inactions to the Talibanization of our nation. Ya can't take anything for granted.

It's good that they've got their grandparents still around to tell them what's what--the first time this battle was fought was not something in the terribly distant past, after all.

This is one of those oddball issues where even the Callistas of the world ( and what miracle visited her that she does not have "as many children as God gives her" --is she infertile or is Newt shooting blanks? Or something else?) will smile and cheer for the GOP candidate, and then look nervously over both shoulders while pulling the lever for the Democrat....and then commiserate in overly dramatic fashion with the losers while secretly breathing a huge sigh of relief.

A woman is, far too often, expected to bear many indignities in this cold, cruel world...I wouldn't blame any one of them for refusing to tolerate any visitation from that tableful of pontificating blowhards!
