The first thing to look at might be a list of Erik Princes contributions to the G.O.P.. Here is a link to a pretty thorough list from NEWSMEAT - http://www.newsmeat.com/ceo_political_donations/Erik_Prince.php
Prince actually made a contribution to the Green party in PA in hopes of skimming votes from Bob Casey Jr..
From enotes -
"Political donations
Prince serves as vice president of the Edgar and Elsa Prince Foundation. Salon reports that "between July 2003 and July 2006, the foundation gave at least $670,000 to the Family Research Council, which his family founded, and $531,000 to Focus on the Family"[32] headed by James Dobson. The foundation is also a major donor to Calvin College,[33] a Christian institution in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Prince also serves as a board member of Christian Freedom International, a non-profit group with a mission of helping "Christians who are persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ."
Since 1998, Prince has personally donated over $200,000 to Republican causes.[34][35][36] Prince is a donor, along with others to the Alliance Defense Fund, a conservative Christian legal group.[37] Prince had also contributed money to the Green Party of Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, though this has been interpreted as an unsuccessful attempt to help Republican candidate Rick Santorum in his race against Democratic challenger Bob Casey.[38]
Prince describes himself as a "libertarian".[27]"

Prince is a convert to the new, right wing version of Catholicism espoused by Santorum. It seems in his mind he is a holy crusader for the same. We all remember the Blackwater abuses during the Bush years. A Santorum victory would hand the keys to the kingdom to Prince, who in all likelyhood would return from exile victorious.

[View]To avoid paying for all his crimes against humanity:
In documents filed last week in a civil lawsuit brought by former Blackwater employees accusing Prince of defrauding the government, Prince sought to avoid giving a deposition by stating that he had moved to Abu Dhabi in time for his children to enter school there Aug. 15.
Prince does not face any criminal charges, but five former top company executives have been indicted on federal weapons, conspiracy and obstruction charges. Two guards who worked for a Blackwater-affiliated company face murder charges from a 2009 shooting in Afghanistan, and the Justice Department is trying to revive its prosecution of five former Blackwater guards accused of killing 17 Iraqi civilians in 2007.
I would say, "Good riddance to bad rubbish", but what's to stop him from setting up shop in Abu Dhabi?

Better start paying LOTS of attention to Ricky. And start paying attention to "we don't hear much about him anymore" Erik Prince. Santorum is his sockpuppet. Bet on it.
