http://theobamadiary.com/2013/07/15/thats-it/

It's a beautiful vid on the simplicity of kids' loving the Cheerios commercial and their reactions to racism that some have exhibitied over it.. and they comment on homophobia.

found the Cheerios commercial offensive.

And, really just a rallying cry to again.. raise awareness that we don't have to hate. I like what that one kid said about if you learn it at home you still don't have to be that way. They were just full of wisdom!

is that it shows the girl having dumped a bunch of Cheerios on her dad, creating a mess. And that's just me being an uptight adult.

The one kid said something like "I thought Martin Luther King fixed that already." I was 3 when he was killed and that's what I grew up thinking - it wasn't until I was much older that I realized how pervasive racism still is.

Though I am wondering why are all the girls pictured against a pink background with hearts and flowers, and the boys pictured against a blue background? I wish whoever made this was as aware of gender stereotyping as they are of racism. (Did anyone in the world but me even notice this?)

Lovely way to start the day - thanks for posting.

It is a beautiful thing! So much incredulity from the kids on the adults hatin' on a family. "Huh?"

I did not notice the backgrounds.. very observant of you.

It was a lovely way for me to end last night.
