(26,449 posts)A context would be nice. Some thing I have a fairly high confidence in him, others not so much.

(2,017 posts)Just sayin
I have marginal faith in the President to take the right position and less-than-adequate faith in him to hold the line on those positions.
This varies from Hillary Clinton who I have no faith to take the right position in the first place and every faith to hold her wrongheaded position even in the face of opposition from her own party, Nancy Pelosi who I have little faith in to take the right position but a good deal of faith to come around in time and fight like hell, and Harry Reid who I can count on daily to fold like a pair of wrinkle-proof slacks without even knowing what his own position is.
What is wrong with all these people that think having a (D) by the name is all it takes to somehow makes that person a Democrat in good standing?
C-? You are too kind, even though your observation is spot on.

(29,047 posts)In my opinion, President Obama has been very good recently on GBLTIQ rights and diplomacy, but he has not been so good on war, whistleblowers, transparency, etc.

(46,179 posts)I've never had much confidence, having looked, from the beginning, beyond the inspiring but vague rhetoric and the token "D" by his name.
I have been proved correct in my evaluation of Obama.
Repeatedly.
I am not pleased about it. I wish he'd proved me wrong.
