I made a public records request for an officer who harassed me during a traffic stop to see if he had any prior disciplinary issues. Well, after three weeks I received an invoice for 628 dollars at 1 dollar a page. What the hell.

(146,317 posts)time and the need for someone to do it. Copying files onto a CD is a one-step process, so it's cheaper. That's lots of pages to look at, though. Have you filed a complaint against this officer?
