Republicans to Detroit: "Drop dead!"

It cost us $80 billion to bail out the auto companies, many who were making massive profits overseas, but $18 billion is too much to bail out the city of Detroit and its 700,000 citizens? We should try to keep this in perspective as the right-wingers attempt to scavenge the last of Detroit's wealth with their idea of bankruptcy. The bandits lie awake at night in anticipation.

Also, how much have we spent to rebuild the cities and countries of Iraq and Afghanistan? You can bet your ass it is more than $18 billion dollars.

Many bondholders are retirement funds for seniors who would also suffer financially. How about the govt and big auto getting together to find a solution?
