. . . as almost a metaphor for the way 'popular' opinion often outstrips objective judgments about individuals and events on our social media.
There's also some political controversy surrounding some remarks made . . .
I think it's mainly just an innocuous rivalry joke between Canadians and Americans, but, there was some silly beginning to this with a petition or something.
Most folks are just funnin', . . .
