Weiner should pull out

It's ridiculous for him to act as if his sexual indiscretions are 'behind him,' just because he may have told his wife everything.

At a press conference in Brooklyn late Tuesday afternoon, Weiner said he is not quitting the race. He admitted that his behavior had been “problematic, to say the least,” but that it was in the past. He added, “I’m surprised more things haven’t come out sooner.”

He says that he's "surprised more things haven’t come out sooner.” Thing is, that's been his responsibility all along; to make certain New York voters aren't subjected to drips and drabs of embarrassing revelations about his unbelievably reckless internet obsessions. Hemay not be an embarrassment to his family, but, he's as much of an embarrassment to New Yorkers today, as he was with those who placed their faith in him in the past with their votes.

These positions of leadership in government are a privilege that voters should extend to those who are able to focus their full attention on the public business. It's clear that Weiner is not in a position to claim that his past indiscretions are fully 'behind him'. What's coming out next?

It's amazing to me that he'd imagine that folks out here will be able to put all of that aside and accept him again as a Democratic political leader. Sure, he may well be a reliable and believable husband; who knows - who cares? Anthony Weiner is still a lurid and embarrassing joke as a politician.

Oh, and someone tell David Paterson to keep his own lurid business out of the public arena. Democratic voters have much more important things to defend and support than providing cover for misogynistic, philandering politicians.

It's the excitement that he can't help. He went from his skivvies to nude texting. What an ass. I felt bad for his wife. If I were her, I would leave him. What he did and does is lewd behavior. IMO it's sick.

I just think it's sick behavior for a grown man to be involved in. He needs to pay attention to his family and stay out of the limelight.

Weiner has no substance. He does a lot of tough talk. There is absolutely nothing in his background that suggests that he can run a city. I can't see some dignitary from another country taking him seriously. He'd be a laughing stock. Who would take the city seriously with him at the helm?

Sanford and Vitter are jokes with jobs. I prefer to laugh at republicans...not democrats. I think he should pull out AND get some heavy counseling.

No spending the night at the Weiner's household for other children...Daddy's kind of an odd duck. He likes to sit around in his underwear, while browsing the Internet...with a camera.

Ewwww
