Why do some on the Right not have a clue how the political spectrum works?

It is mostly libertarians (specifically minarchists) and anarcho-capitalists who have no idea whatsoever how the political spectrum works. I've seen many on the right such as neo-cons who accept how it works. Where did these "anti-statist" right wingers come up with the bullsh*t "theory" that the political spectrum is Right (being small government) and Left (being big government) The difference between Right and Left is NOT small government vs. big government and if you think that it is, you are either ignorant or are spreading lies on purpose. Obviously, most Leftists want a bigger and more Communitarian government in the economy, (while there are still many Socialist Anarchists, Anarcho-Syndicalists, Libertarian Marxists, Council Communists and Left Communists on the Left who want to achieve Socialism/Communism through cooperatives, communes and collectives in absence of the state) But even with most Leftists wanting a bigger, more Communitarian government in the economy wanting to achieve some end goal (with Communists being a moneyless, classless, STATELESS society), that is not the difference between the Right wing and the Left wing. The difference is equality vs social hierarchy. This difference is pretty obvious. Right and Left was coined from the French Revolution with politicians sitting on the Right who were the Reactionary extreme conservatives who wanted to maintain the Clergy and Monarchy's power while oppressing the Second and Third Estates (the poor) while the ones on the Left were the Radicals who wanted to violently overthrow the First Estate (The Clergy and the Monarchy)

Obviously, the Leftists back then were mostly Capitalists who wanted a Democratic Republic rather than Monarchy (besides those on the far-left of the time, some of whom consisted Utopian Socialists), but it still doesn't change the fact that someone who is a Leftist is someone who wants radical change to create a more egalitarian society while those on the Right whether it be through public or private power, want a less egalitarian society with some sort of social hierarchy.

After explaining all of that and making this seem like a rant more than anything else. Where did this phony, right wing lie of the political spectrum even come from? Every single historian that studies Political Philosophy and has created or studies the Political spectrum will tell you that the difference between Right and Left is much more complicated than the lie of "Small government vs. big government"

They are proud to be stupid. They wear their ignorance of not just politics, but society at large as a badge of honor. Most watch Foxnews, which is a station know for getting it's facts wrong on an hourly basis.

2. Well, Fox News does teach us some things

Fox News teaches us a couple things. 1. That America must literally be the dumbest nation on Earth for allowing such garbage to be the most viewed mass media network in this country and 2. That if you're a blonde girl coming out of modeling school, Fox News will hire ya, xD!

Thanks for the comment and the recommendation!

want to shrink government and free companies and the public from "government red tape." (Note the suggestive reference to Reds)

Here's an episode of one of Reagan's corporate-produced propaganda radio talks from the '50s:

Obviously, the Reaganite neo-conservatives wanted to expand the government to privatize the gains and socialize the losses.

And it started with Reagan's appeal to greed. Want more money? Don't ask for a fairer wage; rather, demand that the bloated gummint give it back.
