Mouse hunt mishap as man shoots himself

A 43-year-old man's attempt to defend himself against a tiny mouse instead left him with a bullet in his foot.

The man, from Onè di Fonte in Treviso, was so frightened by the rodent scurrying around his house that he reached for his father’s rifle to kill it, only ended up shooting himself in the foot instead.

The news website, ArticoloTre, assumed his inexperience at handling a rifle, alongside his fear, made him miss target.

He was later hospitalized for gunshot wounds. The whereabouts of the mouse remains unknown.
