Frank Zeidler was Milwaukee's last socialist mayor, leaving office in 1960.
The Zeidler-style "Sewer Socialists" were staunchly pro-union, of course.
And they built Milwaukee's once-magnificent park system, a wonderful example of the government working for the benefit of the people.
So--Zeidler. Union. Park.
It's enough to send chills down your spine to remember what Milwaukee once stood for.
