It is a slander to say the Left Obsesses Over Edward Snowden

I have been informed that the left doesn't care about real issues because they are obsessed with Edward Snowden.

This charge contains a slander.

I will grant that some folks do post dozens or hundreds of items about the personality and character of Edward Snowden (and co-devil Greenwald) so ceaselessly and repetitively that it suggests obsession.

But is it fair to call them the left?

I disagree with the characterization of some of our staunchest centrists and pragmatists as somehow leftist just because they happen to be obsessed with Edward Snowden.

It is deeply unfair. These folks are not crazy leftists. In fact, the Snowden obsessed often openly despise the left.

Someone owes the Snowden-obsessed an apology.
