Shutting Down Government Could Cost Republicans

Wall Street Journal: "Some Republicans think they are sure to hold the House in 2014 no matter what happens because of gerrymandering, but even those levees won't hold if there's a wave of revulsion against the GOP. Marginal seats still matter for controlling Congress. The kamikazes could end up ensuring the return of all-Democratic rule."

It has every time they've even suggested it and has cost them even more dearly when they've actually been stupid enough to do it.

Let's hope they're as poor learners as they have been in the past, clinging to their failed dogma in all areas and trying to relive what they see as their glory days during the Clinton administration.

usually they lie their way out of the shit they do, but this one they may not be able to lie about.
I am surprised such a significant amount of voters have stayed with them this long. They have to be near the edge.

However you can bet the vast majority of the corporate media will do their best to distribute blame to both parties in order to protect the Republicans Party's radicalism from being starkly exposed to the public.

keeping these clowns viable this far. Even NPR does its part.
I sometimes wonder how newsmen like Edward R. Murrow, Huntley and Brinkley, Cronkite, Howard K. Smith etc. would handle this clown show. These guys were tempered in WWII and were willing to call phonies phonies.
