We cant solve the gun problem unless we solve the campaign finance problem.

The failure of our electeds to act on gun reform is a direct result of our broken campaign finance system. They are cowering in the face of very effective extortion.

If we want our Congress to work for the people and not just the 1%, we have to fix campaign finance. It's life or death.

Common Cause is doing this work. Who else is?

I have been saying that for years. In fact you can't solve any problem til you take money out of politics.

All lobbies should be prohibited. That is why this will never happen.

10. So it sounds like Common Cause is the only group working on this across the country.

We can shrug our shoulders and be content to be right that the situation is a mess,
or we can put our collective shoulders to the wheel and help Common Cause with
campaign finance reform change.

It will be incremental but it must be done. Campaign finance cuts across every issue we hold dear that the wingers hold hostage in state and federal offices from one coast to the other, and to our islands.
