There's this movie playing in my head:

Little 5-year-old Ted Cruz enters kindergarten. On the first day he marches into the principal's office and demands more cookies or he'll burn the school down. Then he meets the principal who was at my school when I started kindergarten. . .

should be one of the Catholic teaching nuns. One of the BVMs who were so famously strict and unbending on rules yet really cared. Cruz would be wiped out.
