Republicans ready for a WEEK-long shutdown...

from a private newsletter I receive:

My understanding -- from National Review's Robert Costa and others -- is that the Republican leadership is committed to standing firm through a short government shutdown. They hope it would last no more than a week at which point they would have enough Republican votes -- a majority of the majority -- to move a clean CR through the House.


Nice to know someone with the political skills of John Boehner is so confident...
