We need to hammer the GOP about be obstructionist fucks over Obamacare...

I'm no fan of Obamacare, it doesn't go far enough, is convoluted enough for there to be gaps and holes in coverage, its a compromised mess, and that was compromise mostly with Democrats.

But that's not the point, its better than nothing, even if it doesn't help me, depending on how my work does things, I will remain uninsured next year, and may not be able to get married to my fiance who is on medicaid.

But it will help others, and I hope beyond hope that the House has a better composition next year, so that we can start real reforms, that should have been part of the initial bill, but aren't, and things that it simply doesn't address at all.

First off, price caps, notice I didn't say "cost control", no, price caps, indexed to inflation, based on cost to manufacture and service medical supplies of all sorts(drugs, devices, equipment), with limits on profitability. This includes reducing negotiated pricing, and empowering the federal government to negotiate pricing for their federal programs and allows states to do the same for any expanded UHC programs and plans on the exchange.
I actually mentioned the need for this from a real world example from my job:

Its something that the ACA can't fix, because it doesn't apply.

Ideally I would like for us to have a UHC option that makes sense, an expanded Medicare with all loopholes and gaps closed would be ideal, if not then extended Medicaid to all income levels. Both would involve making it illegal for any Doctor's office, clinic, or hospital from denying people care based on being enrolled in these programs.

The reforms of health care have just started, and Obamacare is far from a UHC plan, we need to start making it one.
