Have ya met Murphy? More importantly, have you met MacGillicuddy? IT woes.

For those of us who have worked in IT (information technology), Murphy is a constant reminder; MacGillicuddy is his evil, though accurate cousin.

Murphy's Law says: "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong" Link to wiki

Those of us who have worked any time in IT know this to be true at the most awkward of times.

And then, there is MacGillicuddy who said simply, "Murphy was an optimist."

If you're noticing some problems with signing up on a website during the first day of a roll out of anything; say hello to Murphy. Give a kiss to MacGillicuddy because he's waiting for the other shoe to drop; as they say. You can blame it on the roll out or you can understand the "not everyone needs to use it" information technology that is part of our everyday lives.

When everything appears to be going well you have obviously overlooked something. hobbit709 Oct 2013 #2
