They are upping their demands. Meet our demands or the US is done. I think all this maneuvering is just a set up for a coup. They want Obama out. And they are determined to dictate the terms of surrender.

This whole scheme is about nullifying the 2012 election and installing their policies. Obama will face one choice in the end surrender or default. That is why they are linking funding and debt ceiling.

They want a depression. They want to punish the country for electing a black man.

Just today Boner upped the ante with more demands. Sure we can have a vote under their terms. You would have to be a fool to think these people have any integrity. Besides Rand Paul and the teabaggers want to default. Rand Paul himself that that default is what the country needs to diminish government and spending.

They have pretty much said they intend to continue the shut down for as long as it takes. You have to take them at their word and look at what we had seen in recent history.

The easiest way to accomplish this is to get Boehner to declare the Hastert Rule null and void, which he will probably do if the shutdown continues too long or the debt ceiling deadline starts to approach. After that, you get 25 to 30 Republicans who are sick of the tea party's shit to vote along with the Democrats (who would have to vote as a bloc) and it won't matter what the teabaggers do.

The permanent way to deal with the problem is to find 102 Republicans who are REALLY sick of the tea party's shit and have them join with Democrats in a bloc to expel the teabaggers from Congress.

I don't think it's likely -- but I'm not as skeptical of it as some of the posters on this thread.

For one thing, there have been a couple of threads lately on the subject of whether Boehner is being blackmailed or bribed -- and if so, with what. Is it possible that somebody is dangling in front of his eyes a promise that Obama and Biden will be forced to resign and he will become president?

He might be in just enough of a drunken stupor to believe it. And it would certainly explain some of the odder aspects of his behavior.
