(1,254 posts)Live in Georgia. Was at a flea market last week and some guy was selling old army metal ammo boxes. My spouse mentioned that he has some of these in our basement filled with ammo he bought decades ago. The guy said....good, you'll need it for the revolution! Yeah, right! Probably to defend ourselves against these yahoos. I wasn't there with my spouse when this happened but told him he should have asked the guy....well what's stopping you from starting one?...feel free to start without me!

(2,606 posts)I said OK I agree, the government is violating our rights. When are you going to do something about it? No response.
I'm also going to ask one, "well what militia are you part of?" and when they say none, I'm going to say "doesn't sound very well regulated to me".
Good thing is I don't run into them very often.

(423 posts)All the tea party types I've encountered seem to think they're "tough guys," or seem to want others to be intimidated by their "tough guy" images.
Imagine time traveling to the era of the John Wayne "tough guys" and telling them, "Your future counterparts are going to join 'tea parties,' and 'tweet' about their tea party activities."
