Hmm. interesting fact to notice about tonight's House votes to reopen... (Colorado votes)

The Colorado team is as follows:

DeGette - Y
Polis - Y
Perlmutter - Y
Tipton - Y
Gardner - Y
Coffman - Y
Lamborn - N

Wonder what to make out of it.. Gardner represents the flooded part of Colorado, and has actually hurt the people but supporting the shutdown.

I think with a Dem against Gardner, he could be ousted for his hypocrisy. Hell, every Republicans here in Colorado should have a Democratic challenger all the way down to dog catching jobs.

earlier yesterday i had the epiphany that i will need to support a republican if we are to unseat Lamborn. Crank has been within striking distance, so there is some hope. there is no way in hell we could get a Dem in this seat.

Major General Irv Halter Raises More than $120,000 in 3rd Quarter

After a successful campaign announcement in July, Major General (retired) Irv Halter raised over $120,000 in his campaign’s first fiscal quarter breaking quarterly fundraising records set by all previous Congressional District 5 challengers. More than 370 individual donors pitched in to get Halter’s campaign off the ground. The donations were all from individuals, 95% of which call Colorado home.

“I’m proud of the support my campaign has earned from people all over the political spectrum. Democrats, Independents and Republicans came forward to join my team. It is clear folks are fed up with the lack of leadership in Washington and want a change, ” Halter said.

Currently, Halter for Congress has over $83,000 cash on hand, which is more than double what Congressman Lamborn had at the end of June.

Halter continued, “When I tell people I’m a moderate and commonsense guy who will go to Washington and do my job, they’re getting behind me.”
