Our federal government is failing our American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian children. According to the Center for Native American Youth, Native children are more likely to be victims of child abuse, have lower high school and college graduation rates, are more likely to end up in foster homes and have a suicide rate that’s 2.5 times the national average.

This is unacceptable. Heidi’s bill would create a Commission on Native Children to study the problem and devise a solution to this much-ignored problem. Please join her in supporting the Commission on Native Children.
