GOP State Rep. Mike Ritze (R) Calls Clarence Thomas 'The Black Judge'

GOP State Rep. Calls Clarence Thomas 'The Black Judge'

Oklahoma state Rep. Mike Ritze (R) seemed to forget Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas' name, and instead referred to him as "the black judge" in an interview for an MSNBC piece on abortion restrictions in Oklahoma.

"Maybe as we see more Republicans, there will be fewer and fewer liberal judges appointed," Ritze said while explaining how the state judicary might change the course of abortion law. "More of what we call the original intent-type of judge. Your Anton (sic) Scalias and your judge – the black judge, the Supreme Court judge."

This was not Ritze's first mistake. There were several misspellings on a monument of the Ten Commandments that he oversaw the construction of.

Today in the OKC paper, they said that many of the government administrators who were appointed by our illustrious governor Mary Fallin (soon to be Senator Fallin when Imhoff retires), were given raises up to $50,000 in a state where state employees have not had a raise in 8 years.

These people are crazy!

She didn't just appoint some low paid flunky government employee. She got the good ones. Sure, they cost a little more, but look how much they sacrifice for public service.

The director of tourism is making something like 150,000 now. Do you have a driving urge to visit us here in Oklahoma?

We do not think our decision to move here for my husband's job was a wrong one, but it does get difficult for this old liberal northern woman at times. My husband is younger, and he only deals with faculty not the people in the Walmart or the staff who work at the University. We have a good life, good liberal friends so we stay sane. The state politics make me nuts but I try not to read the paper any more than I have to.

She is getting paid big bucks to do NOTHING! While teachers in this state need a second job to survive!

At least he didn't think the black one was "that Jew judge" or "Is it the wise Latina or the other one who is the lesbian?"

My college friends and I used to get stoned and watch, rolling around in laughter.

"Say Baby."

"Thank you Jesus!"

"Well bless your heart, you went off script."
