Does Anyone Else Feel The US Is Going To "H" In A Handbasket?

It just seems like the country is coming apart in some ways. The the GOP seems to be trying to create an incendiary situation nationally from the way things feel. They seem to be more strident and hateful by the day. The sabotage strategy needs is ramped up more and more.

media and business consolidation, citizens united, health, the environment, anti-science sentiment...and on and on.

We seem to no longer have the ability to solve little problems, never mind big ones.

States; we are and always will be the UNITED States of America”. (President Obama in his victory speech in Grant Park in Chicago)
As much as I’d like to keep believing that, the country is just too fractured politically and culturally along state lines to make that claim now. We are the DISUNITED States of America and the country is breaking down.

The angry hateful racist tone even comes from GOP Senators and Reps. And the MSM portrays this hatred as the new norm and is just debate. In earlier times these assholes would be looking for their teeth on the floor. It is not that I believe in violence, but what to we do about their verbal violence that goes unanswered. Are we just supposed to stand there and listen? They talk words of war.

and there is no desire to fix it. Our health care system is a total mess and the best we can do is Obamacare. The rich keep getting richer and there seems to be no chance of ever reversing it. This country is a mess.

I would rather be positive, but these elections are a bit unsettling. That bastard in VA is a dangerous ideologue.

Only question is how far we will fall.

It's a decaying system of corporate corruption. Our collapse as is inevitable as all the other empires. And we didn't even last that long when you compare it with other empires.
