These people saved the life of someone I love dearly

They are one of our first responders.

One year ago, without their rapid response and professional expertise, we would have lost a loved one. When they picked him up, he was non responsive. They brought him back to life. I will be forever grateful to them. They have saved so many lives. Kudos to Boston MedFlight on their award.

They were also the only ones allowed to fly the airspace over Boston after the Marathon bombing.

No pulse no respiration, nothing when they picked him up. If not for them and the most amazing hospitals in our city, he would never have survived. I still have nightmares, yet in the end I am grateful~

About a month later, his sister who is a nurse was receiving a patient in ICU from MedFlight. She said she wanted to thank them for all they did for her brother. He paused and then said that he was on that flight that night. He was one of the people that saved his life. She burst into tears Peggy. Small world.

None of us are completely over the trauma of the near loss.

He is well and very health, it took months of rehab and not knowing. We were together, family and friends celebrating their future, then a simple twist of fate~

It made us love more fiercely than we did before.

To all the professional responders, Boston MedFlight et all, I thank them.

I had my life saved once. Not by a first responder, by a nurse. I never got a chance to thank her...
