A Real Problem with Florida's Unemployment Website

I'm trying to figure out why this isn't brought up more in our so-called Liberal Media. I found the articles online, but nary a word of it on the air (I work for a TV station and I have barely seen it AT ALL on air).

My husband is only getting part-time work right now, so he signed up on this horrible website to start to receive benefits available to him. Well it has been over a week now and still nothing on the website stating if he can receive said benefits or if they are even able to process his claim. When he was on unemployment before, he was able to find it out in 24 hours (2010). This lousy governor and hapless legislature created a website that not only is useless, it's not working!! Oh and forget about calling them. Hubby was on hold for 5 hours!! 5 Hours later they told him that they still didn't have an answer. I really hate this state and hope to God that we will have a better government here soon. This situation on top of many others is the fault of Repukes in this state. They have ruined it and made it so much harder to actually make a living.

I have been trying to get benefits for 7 WEEKS! The phone line is always automated only, gives no real information, and when you finally get through the ridiculous hoops to speak to a person it says they have high call volume and to call back later! Argh! There is another line, but those jerks refuse to speak to anyone who wasn't specifically requested to add information to their claim! 18002970586
So, each week, I do my job searches, still trying to get work, I apply to this crappy site, it has crashed twice in the middle of a claim and even noted that my claim expired and needed to be reopened! REALLY? I never got a first claim through!! How in the h**l is it going to expire?!?
No money and having to beg for help SUCKS! More people should complain and send their stories to news teams everywhere...maybe if that happened, the bad publicity would give them a needed push.
