Serwatowski also said the 19-year-old McBride was not shot in the back of the head, as her family has stated. The family said she had gone to the house seeking help after being involved in a car accident several blocks away.
This girl was not shot in the back of the head while leaving the porch, Serwatowski said I dont know where the family is getting this. She was shot in the front of the face, near the mouth
Bernita Spinks, an aunt of the woman killed, told the Free Press shes going to view her nieces body today at a funeral home in Detroit.
Im tired, she said.
Asked about whether her niece was shot in the back of her head, she said: I dont know. I really dont know.

I'm in no way defending what happened, but what might seem like a minor point to some (shot in the back of the head or shot in the face), will play an important role in deciding if charges are filed (and subsequent trial).

(14,265 posts)Police are disputing that she was shot in the back of the head, but that doesn't appear to be all the relevant at this point.
One just gets numb to all these tragedies wondering what if anything will change.
