How many instances have we seen recently of (sorry, got to say it) incompetent white males — among the competent ones of course — who have been "moved along and up" because they happen to be in the right place at the right time and happen to be white, and male.

Just look at the 2012 repug presidential field. Can anyone say Rick Perry, he who couldn't remember all the items in a list of 3?

Or all the repug senate and house candidates who put their foot in their mouth so often about womens' issues?

If everyone were judged on merit those clowns would not have gotten anywhere near running for office.

I believe in being fair though so I must mention that unwarranted promotion and opportunity also happens to incompetent males of color.

Can we all say Herman Cain?

And don't forget incompetence comes in both genders. Remember the woman who created all the stir and plunge in donations at Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation? Karen Handel I believe. What a winner she was.

2. I saw other things that I never thought of:

1. Straights don't have to come out.
2. If a white male is incompetent he won't be letting down either his race or his sex.
3. If a terror event is discovered to be the work of whites, no one suspects the entire race of being terrorists.

And yes I used to believe that racism was dying. I had my eye off the ball and my mind off the game. I quit paying attention.
