Top Ten Conservative Idiots of the Week (Graphic Warning on #6)

[font style="font-size:1.539em; text-transform:uppercase;"]The Slimmed down EDITION[/font]

Okay, it’s the week of Thanksgiving. Apparently, conservative idiots can’t do stupid things and speak moronically while filling their face with turkey, celebrating the sanitized holiday that honors invading white people killing off the native populations. Happy Thanksgiving, all. But, some still manage to dumb or say some crap. Congressional Republicans (1) are worthless, Mitch McConnell (3) is brainless, Bob McDonnell (7) is jobless , Pizza Hut (9) is shameless and Sarah Palin (10) is clueless. And as always, don't forget the key. Remember, you can run your mouse over the icon to see what it means.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]
[font style="font-size:1.539em; text-transform:uppercase;"]Do Nothing Republicans[/font]
[div style="display:inline-block; padding-left:0.3077em;" title="Lazy"] [div style="display:inline-block; padding-left:0.3077em;" title="Spin"] [div style="display:inline-block; padding-left:0.3077em;" title="Obstructionist"] [div style="display:inline-block; padding-left:0.3077em;" title="Partisanship"] [div style="display:inline-block; padding-left:0.3077em;" title="Obama Hating"]

It’s now December and it’s time to look at everything the Republicans have done or allowed to be done this year in Congress. Hint: It isn’t much.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Congress passed 52 bills since January, many of them small scale such as renaming post offices, mandating a size for National Baseball Hall of Fame commemorative coins and modifying requirements for pipeline safety documents.

Wow. 52 bills and most are meaningless crap like naming something else after Ronald Reagan. 52. Damn. Bills. Way o justify that single digit approval rating, folks!

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Legislators either weren't able to pass or ignored completely more pressing issues such as passing a long term budget, dealing with climate change, reforming immigration and finding a compromise on food stamps. There's a chance Congress may not pass its annual defense spending bill or address sexual assaults in the military by the end of this year, either.

Yes. . .because naming a public outhouse is more important than dealing with issues that are destroying the planet, country and the economy.

And everyone knows sexual assaults aren’t real because she was wearing a tight skirt. Besides, she won’t get pregnant because the body has protections and shut-off valves in case of legitimate rape. And everyone know no rape is legitimate.

Their approval rating is five points higher than crotch rot and they earned every point of it. Worst. Congress. Ever!

One of the reasons Congress sucks as much as it does is because of Speaker of the House, John “the Ohio Tearduct” Boehner.

You see, Orange Glo has a problem. The tea party Congressmen don’t trust him, his leadership team doesn’t like him and most, if not all, Democrats don’t respect him. Politically, he is impotent. Professionally, he’s past his prime. But he still gives off that Orange Goodness through those massive tear stains on his face.

Anyway, according to Mother Jones:

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Over the past month, the House and Senate have been working to come up with a compromise farm bill—the five-year piece of legislation that funds agriculture and nutrition programs. The main sticking point is the level of cuts to the food stamp program. House Republicans want to cut $40 billion from the program, while the Senate wants to trim $4 billion. Last week, the talks fell apart, and the two sides are fighting over why.

Wow. Maybe that near negative number approval rating isn’t justified. There is working in the two chamber to help farmers. Usually farm bills are loaded with more pork than a ham sandwich, but the working together is a start.

Maybe Speaker Tearduct will help the process.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]A Democratic aide tells Mother Jones that House Speaker John Boehner shot down several informal compromise farm bill proposals because the food stamps cuts were not deep enough. Boehner's spokesman denies this.

Oh, not surprised. Speaker Worthless McOrangetears needs to balance the budget on the backs of the poorest, most vulnerable of Americans. And of course (to quote the Young Turks) Orange Crush’s mouthpiece denies it. Can’t do anything to make the boss look worse. HE does a good enough job of that himself.

Please continue.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]The Democratic aide says the joint House-Senate panel that is trying to work out a deal presented Boehner with a few proposals that contained food stamps levels close to what the Senate wants. Even though Rep. Frank Lucas (R-Okla.)—the chairman of the House agriculture committee and a top member of the compromise panel—was willing to give a lot of ground to the Senate on food stamps, he says, Boehner rejected the proposals. "Boehner is playing spoiler," he adds. "That's why fell apart."

So there was compromise. There was working together. There was bipartisanship. And the Speaker of the House screwed it all up.

2014 is coming and November is a long time away. One wonders how tissue and vodka sales will be around Boehner’s office the day The Worst Speaker in the History of Forever has to give the gavel back to the Best Speaker in the History of Forever, Madame Nancy Pelosi.

Worst. . .Speaker. . .Ever!

Mitch McConnell is one of the most slimy pieces of tweed to ever sit in Congress. His passive aggressive projection, his hypocrisy, his flag-like approach to any issue. He has no convictions, no courage and little brains. And last week, he showed he has no shame either.

Time to listen to a quote Turtle-boy gave to the media through another mouthpiece (why can’t these people talk for themselves).

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]“As the father of three daughters, fair pay for women is more than a talking point for Sen. McConnell,” said campaign spokeswoman Allison Moore. “It’s something he’s worked to achieve his entire career by setting an example for others and promoting thoughtful policies to ensure talent overcomes bias.”

Well, he showed that by giving you a job, Allison. Does the record reflect the rhetoric? Computer says no.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]In August, for example, McConnell’s campaign boasted that the Kentucky senator is a long-time supporter of the Violence Against Women Act. This wasn’t true – he voted against VAWA in 1994, 2012, and 2013 – and instead of defending his record, McConnell tried to mislead the public.

Well, maybe that was just three mistakes. I mean, I’m sure he will explain himself as to why the VAWA was so bad. Maybe he’ll do it after a rousing round of wife beating jokes. You know something about telling your wife someone, two black eyes and not having to do it again. Hyck, hyck, hyck!

Oh well, so in The Chinless Wonder’s eyes, beating women is a-okay. Maybe women’s pay is different.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Remember the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act? McConnell voted against it – twice. Remember the Paycheck Fairness Act? McConnell voted against it, too – twice.

Four times, this champion for women voted down laws stopping the salary glass ceiling. Four. Damn. Times! McConnell is a supporter of woman’s issues in the same way David Duke supports racial issues.

Be prepared for McConnell’s next bill: The “Women belong in the home making my dinner, except for my wife who can become Sec. Of Labor” Act. Sure fire plan to win over dem women folk.

Worst. Liar. Ever!

Yes, suspected arsonist and car thief Darrell “Fisherman” Issa is back and on another “fact-finding” mission to look for anything he can impeach Barack Obama for. The idiot’s “Joe Friday” is on the mission to get that socialist, communist, fascist, black power supporting, Muslim Kenyan and nothing will stop him. . .because he if he can’t find “just the facts,” he’ll make them up!

Since the rollout of Obamacare’s website has been plagued with problems, Darrell Issa has decided to take it upon himself to ask the question “”What did the president know and when did he know it” yet again. So, he asked Aetna, BC/BS, Humana, Kaiser, UnitedHealth and others specific leading questions.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]House Oversight Chair Darrell Issa (R-CA) sent letters Wednesday to 15 insurance companies demanding copies of their correspondence with the Obama administration in an effort to determine if the administration knew in advance that people could lose access to their doctors or have their existing health insurance policies canceled under Obamacare.

Start the fishing trip, please. Issa’s trying to reel in a blackfish!

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Issa is looking for a few pieces of information. Did insurance companies know that the president would say that Americans could keep their health plan or their provider? Did they inform the administration that some plans would be canceled or provider networks changed? Did they object to that characterization?

All that can be heard is Issa standing over these people saying “Ve haft ways ov making your speak!” Followed by “Get the Comfy CHAIR!”

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]He also asked for "all ... communications" between company employees and members of the Obama administration since the Affordable Care Act was signed into law in March 2010. There is another request for interactions between insurance company employees about the accuracy of Obama's "keep your doctor" pledge.

After, he then demanded blood samples, DNA samples, urine test results, a stool sample, six letters of canonization and a record of all phone calls made by each member of their families going back to their great-grandparents. Because, their great-grandparents might have come in contact with the man who carried the pants of the man who lived next to to the woman who might have known Obama’s father, which proves Obamacare is a sham.

Nah. . .that couldn’t happen. Obama’s a Kenyan.

Mark Halperin, a man famous for being suspended for calling Obama “a dick” on “Morning Blow,” decided to challenge his inner Palin at that echo chamber knows as Newsmax and fart out one of the biggest lies of Obamacare and the ACA.

When it comes to lying, nothing holds a candle to the USA’s answer to Pravda, Fox News. . .Rupert Murdoch’s personal vanity news agency.

One of their spokesmodels, Martha MacCallum, decided to do what Fox News jackasses always do. . .Put her foot in her mouth. Sometimes, using horrific events to prove your point only makes you look like an obtuse asshole.

Take it away, Martie!!!!

Umm. . .what? Not sure I follow you, Martie. . .there seems to be stupid in my ear! Please speak again.

Ummm. . .what? Obamacare cares touches more live than the Iraq War and Hurricane Katrina.

Let’s see what’s worse:

This:
[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]

Or this:

Unless MacCallum is implying that the people that died in NOLA, the soldiers that died and came back mutilated on a war based on lies and the Iraqi civilians aren’t human (which would make her heartless, stupid and racist), then maybe something is askew.

Or maybe this harpie is just heartless, stupid and racist.

"What a great governor you have," Romney told cheering Virginians. "What a terrific man and a terrific leader. Way to go."

Yes, Bobby is a terrific man and a terrific leader. But underneath the veneer of his smile lurked the heart of a man who used the governor’s mansion as his own personal commissary and depository account.

Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la, la la la la. . .deck the halls with pink slips and slander if you decide to celebrate! We all need to be at work on every national holiday. Screw tradition and your family, fa la la la la, la la la la!

Yes, it’s the holiday season. . .enough avarice to last an entire year. Pizza Hut decided to jump on the holiday spirit bandwagon by firing a middle manager that refused to work on Thanksgiving. The man’s name is Tony Rohr and he has worked for Pizza Hut for more than 10 years.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]When he refused to open on Thanksgiving Day this year and force his employees to work, he says, he was told to write a letter of resignation. Instead, he wrote one explaining why the store should remain closed.

Good for him. People should be home with family, not serving people crappy pizza on a national holiday, even if the reason for the holiday is repugnant.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]"I said, 'Why can't we be the company that stands up and says we care about your employees and you can have the day off?'" Rohr told CNN affiliate WSBT Wednesday. "Thanksgiving and Christmas are the only two days that they're closed in the whole year. And they're the only two days that those people are guaranteed to have off to spend with their families."
Rohr told the affiliate he refused to quit and detailed his frustration in the letter.
"I accept that the refusal to comply with this greedy, immoral request means the end of my tenure with this company," he says he wrote. "I hope you realize that it is the people at the bottom of the totem pole that make your life possible."

Wow! I wish I knew this guy. What a model citizen! And a model leader. He fell on the sword for his fellow employees against an act of corporate tyranny and greed.

This crap gets worse as the restaurant Rohr worked at went into full on spin mode.
[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]The local franchise told the affiliate that Rohr was not fired, but quit. "

Oh, I see how it works. Tell a guy to write his resignation letter, then when the press gets bad, inform the world that he quit. Passive termination. We know it will look bad if we fire you. So give us a letter of resignation so we can cover our ass.

Did Pizza do the right thing?

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Now, Pizza Hut's corporate office says the franchise "made a serious error in judgment, one which we hope to help remedy.

(Pizza Hut) sent CNN a statement that said the store has agreed to hire him back.

"We fully respect an employee's right to not work on a holiday, which is why the vast majority of Pizza Huts in America are closed on Thanksgiving," the corporate office said in a statement. "As a result, we strongly recommended that the local franchisee reinstate the store manager and they have agreed. We look forward to them welcoming Tony back to the team."

Thank God this has a happy ending. Still, how many of Rohr’s bosses will be fired for this shit? I guess none.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]

And finally, Gidgot released a new book. Another screechfest of the worst odor. “Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas.” I say released, because it was ghost written of course.

What a good gift for the staunch teabagger (if they can ready more than coloring books). Saran Palin’s new “trees had to die for this crap” tome. How is it selling?

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Sarah Palin’s miserable hackish attempt to profit off Christmas totally bombed on Black Friday to the point where it was outsold by comedian Rob Delaney’s book.

But Amazon just updated their top 100 list and Delaney is now at 62 as of this writing with “Rob Delaney: Mother. Wife. Sister. Human. Warrior. Falcon. Yardstick. Turban. Cabbage.”

To quote George Takei: Oh My!

That poorly huh? Didn’t conservative website buy this book in bulk to shore up the sales so she would be on the best seller’s list with an asterisk??? No. . .time to sink or swim on your own, Sister Sarah.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Sarah Palin is at 435 for “Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas”. Additionally, he’s still leading Palin in Kindle sales with Palin at 4, 5, and 6 in her specific genres while Delaney is at 2,3, and 4 in his specific genres. (Amazon lists update constantly.) Ms. Palin was nowhere to be seen in the top 100, while right wing “entertainers” Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck scored big.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

Please, continue. This is too rich!

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Many unhappy customers took to Amazon to vent their displeasure with her book.

Buyer’s remorse (snicker). Didn’t like the book. (gaffaw).

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]George Waters wrote, “Despite its title, there is no “great joy” to be found in this book. I also could not find the good tidings. In fact there is mostly petty griping about various entities seeking to “destroy” Christmas (but only Christmas as defined by Sarah Palin). Palin manages to both rehash the War on Christmas and wage her own war on hope and charity (AKA love). Her sense of irony is as dead as is her sense of reality.”

That does not sound too uplifting. Maybe there is a better one?

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"] Priscilla Wood wrote, “I truly thought Palin was going to make a case for why Christmas is important, instead the book is full of rants, misleading assumptions while showing more love with the idea of Christmas rather than the real meaning of it. Her argument makes it scary to think that she held public office at some point. If you enjoy reading juvenile literature you’ll enjoy this book.”

Killjoys. Surely there is one better.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]This is Palin’s first go with a book without the huge right wing backup machine pre-buying huge orders in order to prop up her sales. Or, as she would say, liberal media gotchas. Katie Couric probably works at Amazon now for the singular purpose of destroying Sarah Palin as she did when she asked Palin what she read to keep informed and Palin couldn’t answer.

Sure, Rob Delaney “has been named the “Funniest Person on Twitter” by Comedy Central and one of the “50 Funniest People” by Rolling Stone, according to his website. But let’s face it – no one is funnier than Sarah Palin. She doesn’t even have to try. After all, they’re claiming she “wrote” this in “English” — punk’d, because we can tell by the bitterness that it came from the very angry person that is Sarah Palin.

ROFLMFAO!!!!

See you next week.

I didn't hear about the story until Pizza Hut demanded the franchise hire him back. And that was the day after Thanksgiving. Aside from that, you put the heat on Pizza Hut as a whole, when it was a franchise. It's disingenuous to put the blame on the company when the blame resides with a franchise. They're the ones who deserve our ire.

At Wed Dec 4, 2013, 08:28 AM an alert was sent on the following post:

Top Ten Conservative Idiots of the Week (Graphic Warning on #6)
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10024129732

REASON FOR ALERT:

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS:

Graphic image is wrong. The warning is not enough. This shit is sickening and serves no purpose.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Wed Dec 4, 2013, 08:39 AM, and the Jury voted 2-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: Interesting (as in not) alert. I put together a similar post of Katrina photos but decided to leave out the dead body photos as I know some idiot would alert on it, and really, who knows what jury you get these days.
Thanks for confirming my suspicions alerter.
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT and said: Although I'm reluctant to hide a top 10 conservative idiots, the graphic is WAY over the line. The OP was asked 3.5 hours ago to change it, and while s/he is probably asleep, it's too much for members to have to put up with.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: perhaps a bit over the top but i have been wanting this post to reappear and i will not vote against it
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: oh please
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT and said: No explanation given

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

stopped trying to rule the world.

By what right do we have to go into other countries and kill their citizens, or anyone, for that matter?
Can you imagine the uproar if another country came here and tried to build military bases. Or use drones, based in Mexico, Canada or Cuba, to take out people who, the rest of the world considers to be terrorist leaders in power in this country? That shoe fits our feet as well as any other country that harbors terrorists.

In hindsight, it was a bit over the top, which is partially my fault.

I am getting my PhD and my dissertation is on the Wang Jing Wei government during and after the Rape of Nanking. I see photos like that one on a daily basis.

Sorry for my obtuseness. I will self-edit a bit more next week, but as I said I was trying to make a point. Sorry for offending anyone at all.

It is not, and was not, my intention.

Part of what I looked at in voting to hide (I was number 2), was that there were several posts on here asking you to edit it, one as long as 3.5 hours ago. I see a lot of complaints about graphic photos that I don't consider graphic, but that one was too much. Most people don't look at that stuff everyday. At any rate, I'm glad it worked out. You edited the photo and everyone gets to appreciate the hard work you put into this. Thanks for putting this together.
