He drove the money changers...capitalists making money from religion, see the 700 club, Trinity broadcasting, 99 and nine tenths of every TV preacher ever, mega churches, preachers living in mansions driving huge SUV's on grandmas SS money etc, on and on and on.

Anyhow Jesus drove them out of the temple with a whip for making his fathers house a den of thieves. Not unlike the greed monsters that run this country...and world eh?

Also his disciples pooled all their money and possessions and used them for the good of all. OMG it sounds like...gulp..socialism!

Oh and if Jesus were walking the earth today Fox news would be first in line to drive the nails into his "commie" hands, I have zero doubt about that!

So, fox and limbaugh have declared war on the Pope.

My money's on the Pope and Obama! They're tag teaming..

snip//

"Across the developed world, inequality has increased," Obama said. "Some of you may have seen just last week, the pope himself spoke about this at eloquent length."

Obama than quoted Francis: "How can it be that it is not a news item when an elderly homeless person dies of exposure, but it is news when the stock market loses two points?"

Don't be shocked to see a president-pope meeting in the coming months."

Was the Pope ever baptized?

It matters not at all what country he was born in but, was he ever baptized into the Church?

Or, another way to put it: Is the Pope a REAL Roman Catholic?

Lots of mischief to be made with this one.

Matthew 25:31-46

35 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’

Teabag republican views: If you are hungry and thristy, tough shit. Work for slave wages at walmart and slowly starve to death. Who cares? If you are strange, undocumented, gay, anything out of the norm..persecute to the fullest extent possible and definitely stay the hell away from my home!

Naked beggar? Fuck off and die already! Sick, no health ins? Fuck off and die already! In prison? Death to you scumbag!

Death death death to all non rich, death to all strange, hungry, helpless hurting people! That is the "pro-life" republican, fox news approved "christian" way baby!

as saying "if you don't work, then you don't eat." I do remember something about the lilies of the field who neither toil nor spin but not even the finest nobles are not arrayed like one of these." And that thing about the birds of the air that don't do any "work" - "yet your Heavenly Father feeds them." Try THAT one on and wear it around, michele bachmann!

28. Right-wing media is in full-tilt PR mode against this Pope...
Thu Dec 5, 2013, 11:03 AM
Dec 2013

I saw an article yesterday from a right-wing publication, comparing the Pope to the Russian KGB, suggesting that his economic views on poverty were similar to Marxists and Socialists who were responsible for the downfall of the Soviet Union.

Seriously.

The Pope dared to question the Frankenstein capitalism that the elites have created and foisted upon our world. Led by corrupt banks, oil companies, greedy health-insurance magnates and other psychopaths (Koch Brothers, etc.), this mutant form of rabid capitalism has become entrenched by our politicians who now serve these corporate masters.

The Pope dared to question the income inequality and the unfairness of this system. The elites and the powerbrokers of our time, on the right, are very unhappy. No one with power can question their pathology. If you do, you will be attacked on all fronts. These elites meet in boardrooms and discuss the PR strategy and what the talking points will be. Right-wing media coordinates and a full-frontal assault begins, complete with name calling, lying, and rapid-fire destruction from hundreds of right-wing radio/print outlets.

Dare to question their psychopathic capitalism and you will meet their wrath.

And by the way, the fact that these sick elites call this "capitalism" is a frickin joke. GE paid NO TAXES during a quarter in which they made billions of dollars in profit. Millionaires and billionaires pay a less percentage of taxes than a secretary or an accountant. This is corporate welfare. Banks get bailed out and they get billions in welfare and there is silence. But the minute a poor woman with kids needs food stamps, they scream about what a taker she is. IT'S DISGUSTING! Employers like Walmart pay their workers a pittance, while those at the top are multimillionaires. It's predatory. This is not true capitalism. Our government is punishing those at the bottom and providing windfalls and corporate welfare to those at the top. That's not capitalism. That's the elites using our democracy as their own personal playground.

But these greedmongers are powerful and they don't want to lose their grand plan--of enriching themselves and getting their corporate welfare--while we are all reduced to peasantry. They get off when others suffer. It's not enough for them to succeed. We must be hollowed out to the point of despair.

So, the Pope dared to suggest that their system was unfair. And here we see the fallout. Slash and burn with a marketing campaign that will make all of the right-wing minions hate this Pope. Pretty soon, all of the Hannity and Limbaugh fans will fall in line and bash this Pope and his compassion and concern for the suffering. The minions follow the talking points like good little robots.

And please--I can't stand the Catholic Church. I think they are the most vile of institutions. I'm not standing up for the Catholic Church. I think they selected Francis, in a PR effort to reform their image. This is not about standing up for this Pope or the Catholic Church. This is about decrying the right-wing media machine--that is controlled by pathological, rabid weasels who enjoy the pain and misery they are inflicting on America.

This is about what happens to a person and their image--when you DARE to question Big Power in this country. You will be slaughtered.
