Somebody fire the bile-powered birther-conspiracy piston engine back up. The sheeple must be warned!

When a Cessna carrying nine people crashed in the ocean near the Hawaiian island of Molokai yesterday, there was a single fatality: Loretta Fuddy, 65, since 2011 the health director of the state of Hawaii.

It was Fuddy who in 2011 "verified the authenticity of certified copies of President Barack Obama's birth certificate, proving that he had been born in Hawaii," according to the USA Today. She mailed Obama the verified copies of his birth records in late April of that year, just days before the president released them to the public.

"We hope that issuing you these copies of your original Certificate of Live Birth will end the numerous inquiries received by the Hawaii Department of Health to produce this document," she wrote him. "Such inquiries have been disruptive to staff operations and have strained State resources.”

The birther world, predictably, is freaking out. Grand matriarch of the nutters Orly Taitz, who's embroiled in multiple birther-related lawsuits, put out a bizarrely formatted statement on her site:

Attorney Taitz calls on 8 courts and judges who received her cases to rule expeditiously on the merits and review the evidence of forgery and theft in Obama's IDs before more people die in strange accidents. ....
