Last edited Fri Dec 13, 2013, 05:18 AM - Edit history (1)

This is so very sad for Loretta Fuddy and her loved ones..

She gets lost in all this CT donald f. trump bullshit.

RIP Loretta Fuddy

"Hawaii's health director has died after a light aircraft carrying nine people crashed in the sea off the island of Molokai on Wednesday.

Loretta Fuddy, who was on an annual visit to the the island, was named as the sole victim in the crash by state government sources. One passenger was able to swim to shore and the others on board the Cessna Grand Caravan were rescued by helicopter and boat.

The Makani Kai Air plane, which was scheduled to fly to Honolulu at 3.15pm, went down at about 3.45pm, half a mile northwest of Kalaupapa peninsula, Maui Fire Department spokesman Lee Mainaga said.

Ms Fuddy had been booked on the flight along with the health department's deputy director Keith Yamamoto, a spokeswoman for the department said.
Two government sources later confirmed to Kitv that Ms Fuddy had died.

The 65-year-old, who had won awards for her work with children and social work, had been appointed as director in 2011.

Ms Fuddy and Mr Yamamoto had been on an annual visit to Kalaipapa, a former colony for leprosy sufferers."

"Hawaiian senator J. Kalani English led the tributes to the 65-year-old saying she, “will be dearly missed,” by people on the islands.

“I would like to extend my most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the Department of Health Director Loretta Fuddy, who tragically passed away in a plane crash late Wednesday afternoon,” he said. “Loretta was a true public servant and friend of the people….. She will be dearly missed.”

Fellow lawmaker Will Espero also paid tribute to Fuddy on his Facebook page.

"It is with great sadness to hear of the passing of Department of Health Director Loretta Fuddy,” he wrote. “She was a respected professional who served our state with pride and distinction. Rest in peace with the angels Director Fuddy.”

it says you need to subscribe the read the rest.

But, I found this..

"She had a way of always seeing the good in other people, the good in situations. Just being around you made you a better person," he said.

Fuddy's church family called her Deliana not Loretta. That's how she was known to her closest friends. St. Theresa's was her second home. She served on the school board and the pastoral council. After singing on Sunday she answered the phones in the church office.

"Whatever Deliana did she did whole-heartedly. And even though she may have been overwhelmed with her job and her responsibilities, it never showed," office manager Lloree Gamiao said.

Among other relatives, Fuddy is survived by two sisters, a brother and brother-in-law, a nephew and a niece.

"She loved her job. She loved the people that she worked with. She loved the people she served," her niece Kimberlee Rene Fuddy Greer said at a short ceremony outside the Department of Health building."

I didn't know her but I know she deserves to be honored and respected.. not treated as some pawn by donald trump and all the lying conspicacy promoters.

HONOLULU December 12, 2013
By JENNIFER SINCO KELLEHER Associated Press

In the final moments of her life, Hawaii Health Director Loretta Fuddy clung to the hand of her deputy after a small plane taking them back to Honolulu crashed in the ocean off the island of Molokai.

...

In the water, Fuddy held hands with deputy director Keith Yamamoto as he tried to help her relax, said the Rev. Patrick Killilea, who consoled Yamamoto after the ordeal.

"He recounted how he said he helped Loretta into her life jacket and he held her hand for some time," the priest said. "They were all floating together and she let go and there was no response from her."

...

Rescue swimmer Mark Peer said when he swam to Fuddy, she was unresponsive and he couldn't find a pulse.

"It was not a good feeling," he said.

but I was saying.. we can imagine how traumatic the moments were when they knew they were doing down in the sea.

I wonder if they'll do an autopsy? It could have been her heart?

I didn't know Loretta Fuddy, only through reports that she was the one who verified President Obama's birth certificate. But, the first I heard of her passing was through news that donald trump tweeted his CT that she was the only one who died in the crash.

I thought even before I read the details of the crash, into the sea, that her heart couldn't take it. The miracle is that everyone else survived! Can you imagine?!

"Deliana", as her friends and family called her, deserves the honor and respect that she gave to others in her life.
