The news isn't that he apologized.
The news is what the papers seemed to ignore:
no explanation of why his two top guys resigned when the scandal broke.
no documents that show that there was a "study" he could believe in.
why no outrage at the time for a perfect opportunity to blame the shutdown on someone else - which is his style.
no cogent explanation why he didn't accept calls from the mayor.
None of the headlines say: Christie stonewalls, No answers from Christie
Headlines: sad, contrite, blindsided maybe sarcasm . . .
is it a jersey thing?
